Some pretty dark smoke in the sky. Looks well north of Walden. Anyone know what's burning?

Yes. Just heard on KSBJ apartment fire. Eastbound lanes on 1960 closed.

This is the reason I got on here this morning. Was hoping there would be updates regarding the apt residents. Saw it on my way to work - it did not look good. Praying everyone got out safely and that firefighters were able to knock it down without injury to themselves.

I wonder why they didn't deploy the new tower truck from the station right behind the apartments? I thought it was for multistory building fires?
 
If you haven't seen it, it is a MONSTER of a truck!

every fire truck atascocita has was there. there was over 35 fire dept apparatus there. the new tower was there. we also used it last week to rescue a man off a roof. great truck to work off of
