Oh what a day I had yesterday

Had to go to the deer lease near Sam Rayburn lake to fill feeders etc.....
Stopped in Academy in Lufkin to buy 2 new feeder batteries.....$54 later I am headed to the lease which is 30 miles away....
I get to the lease and find a mouse nest in my camper storage area.... No biggee... Cleaned it out
Load up my four wheeler with 700# of corn and my 2 " NEW" batteries....
Get out to my feeders about 20 mins later and guess what!!!! Yep both " NEW " batteries are
DEAD !!!!!! Oh man I was ****
Had to drive all the way back to Lufkin...
What a pain in the ****!!!!!
Manager said that happens all the time!!!!
I said WTH!!!!!! Anyway my day was about to get worse....
Got all my work done at the lease and was going to pull my camper home for a few camping trips...
Low and behold I had 2 blow outs on my camper tires....... The 2nd one was in Cleveland ....NOW WITH NO SPARE TIRE.....
Luckily I have a tandem axle trailer and I was able to limp it into town about 5 miles to a Hispanic tire shop and was charges $125 for a tire....
No arguement, I was stuck and he knew it
Capitalism at its finest.....
Oh did I mention I was double towing.... I had a 14' utility trailer behind my camper when I had these blowouts ..... 65' from my front bumper to my back trailer.......
Made it home and that dinner at Texas Road House last night for my 23rd anniversary tastes sooooooooooooooooo goooooooooood

You weren't working - out in the country - doesn't sound too awful.....

5 miles throwing tire chunks in the road -

why's it got to be Hispanic? What ethnicity was the cashier at Academy that sold the dead batteries? Or the manager who exchanged them? How about the hostess or waiter at the restaurant? SHRUG. just asking man, just asking.

My guess is....the Academy checker was black female....the waitress was a white female....and the mouse was grey.

Ok my bad, it wasn't discount tire, or NTB
it was called Gonzales tire shop....
Everyone was Hispanic and only one could speak English ..... If I said a Mexican tire shop I could see you women getting your panties twisted....

I buy trailer tires quite (too) often - Pay 120 - 140 at discount tire (class d). doesn't seem like you got raked too bad. How old are the tires? Dry rot takes its toll pretty quick.
