Let's pray for all students. Help them to kick some STAAR tests' butts

I personally hate these tests.. I feel like the school puts so much pressure on these kids to pass this thing. My
Kids are only in elementary so I can only imagine it gets worse. My kid was dreading going to school today..

I stopped making a big deal out of the tests. Parents and teachers make this kids more anxious and stressed when they do that. It's silly how much emphasis is put on it.

That is exactly what it is and with the pressure from the teachers(not sure if they get bonuses based on scores, like they have in the past) and SUPPORT and GUIDANCE from the Parents, it's no wonder the kids freak out a little.

I hate them, too (the whole year is focused on passing the tests), but you can't really negate their importance. There is that little promotion issue.
