This is very sad. I think it's worth noting that following the basic youth protection guidelines that Boy Scouts of America follow would prevent this (no adults alone with kids besides there own, two-deep at all times etc.) If you are never alone with a child, you can never be accused of something or perhaps even tempted (gross!!!) to do something.
Moreover it's important that the KIDS be told this - tell your children there is no reason for them to ever be alone in a room with an adult with the door closed - that is it ALWAYS okay to ask for another adult to be present or that the door be open.
