Am I the only one that gets annoyed when people brag about all the good deeds they are doing?

Facebook just annoys me, period. "what a beautiful family" "great picture" "you are beautiful" "look what we are having for dinner" "yum" - almost as much as Christmas letters that begin "another year is almost gone" - thanks a lot I would have never known if you had not told me.

How about the people who treat their dogs like one of the kids and dress them up in holiday outfits. I feel sorry for the dogs they always have this "kill me now" look in their eyes.

I have a friend that post pictures of her at the food bank captioned "what good deed did you do today?"

just a few weeks ago she was complaining about "some bum" coming to her window asking to wash her windshield. She posted a long rant about it.

Facebook is my entertainment- people can put such stupid things and can be so obvious that they are trying to advertise what kind of life they want people to think they have. My favorites to laugh at:

1. I am a GOOD Christian who does Godly things all the time. (Yet I know how they really act off FB)

2. My life is always perfect and wonderful.

3. I can afford to do all these neat things (yet they really can't)

4. Good deeds, as mentioned above.

5. One of my favorites (and a couple of my friends are guilty of this, sadly) is constantly posting on how their husbands love them so much, what great things their husbands buy them and do for them, and what nice things their husbands say to them. They make sure the privacy settings are public, in hopes that the ex-wife is stalking their profile and sees that.

I actually do like to see and to post food pictures, especially desserts.

I have a facebook friend who has been on at least 7 vacations so far this year (that I remember) and goes out with her friends at least four nights a week leaving her child with a sitter if her husband is out of town. She goes to at least one "event" (concert, show, etc.) every week and is always posting her latest overpriced purse pictures. Then, she decides to start a charity for people in Africa and asks her FB friends to help her reach her $10,000 goal. Sorry, but if it mattered that much to you why don't you just use hubby's money and donate it yourself?

Good deeds shouldn't be bragged about. God knows what you do for others.

if someone bragging about their good deeds inspire others to do a good deed themselves, it served its purpose...

if posting a picture of a meal makes a lonely person happy because they're sharing whatever little is left of their life with their friends, then great... yeah, I have some of those, and hit like every now and then with a simple comment... it makes a world of difference to them

if someone's constant posts are annoying you, simply remove them from your newsfeed or unfriend them... simple as that!
