As part of our ongoing "Getting to Know Your Local Businesses"
series, this week we sat down with Jonathan Patrick, DDS of Care for
Kids Dentistry.
Tell us a bit about your business: What does your business offer, and how long have you been around?
Care
for Kids Pediatric Dentistry offers a unique, child-centered, and
common-sense approach to dentistry. From the moment the patient walks
through the door, our goal is to serve them and their family. We provide
a comfortable, fun, positive dental experience for kids (and their
parents!) We hope to change families’ expectation of what “going to the
dentist” can be like!
How did you decide to get involved in this line of work? We
believe dentistry is a beautiful blend of art, science, pediatric
medicine, and building personal connections with families and the
community.
Dr. Patrick started Care for Kids Pediatric
Dentistry with the primary goal of providing conservative,
patient-centered care by offering an alternative to the increasingly
aggressive-style corporate clinics that have become too common in the
field of dentistry.
We have served the Kingwood and surrounding areas for over 2 years and we look forward to many years to come!
Tell us a couple things you are proud of about your business. What are you known for? What separates you from the competition?
We
are family-focused and tailor dental care to each individual child and
their environment. We are known for our compassion and attention to
detail while supporting not only the patient, but also the entire family
in a shared goal of great oral health and overall wellness.
What is your favorite part of running this business?
Kids
are hilarious, witty, genuine, and unfiltered…and they are always
listening! Aside from the many laughs and adorable smiles, one of the
greatest joys in our field is watching families grow to improve and
support their children’s oral health at home!
Who is your ideal customer/client? Who do you serve best?
We
pride ourselves in caring for children from all walks of life. All
children in our community deserve quality dental care, support and
encouragement. We are also proud to serve our community by traveling to
many of the local schools in the area and offering a fun and free dental
education program to the children of Kingwood, Atascocita, Humble,
Porter, New Caney and beyond.
Can you tell us something about yourself as the business owner? What is your background?
Dr.
Patrick dreamed of opening his own private dental practice in his
hometown of Kingwood, Texas. He is married with two young children and
is active in their local church. Shortly after opening the doors of Care
for Kids Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Patrick completed the final round of
the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry certification and received the
Arthur J. Nowak award – the highest score among more than 500 other
board-certified pediatric dentists in the United States and around the
world. Dr. Patrick has a special interest in Cystic Fibrosis (CF) and
published a paper analyzing the complicated relationship between CF and
oral health.
Are there any special promotions, annual sales, or special events that you'd like to mention?

Is there any other information you'd like your potential customers/clients to know about your business?
Our
team has grown by leaps and bounds this year. Dr Ashley, a Pediatric
Dentist and Candidate of The American Board of Pediatric Dentistry,
joined our team this summer. We are thrilled to have her join Care for
Kids Pediatric Dentistry and hope that you will come by to say hello and
get to know her and the other new members of the team!
