As part of our ongoing "Getting to Know Your Local Businesses" series, this week we sat down with David Oakley of College Hunks Hauling Junk & Moving Service.

Tell us a bit about your business: What does your business offer, and how long have you been around?
We are a new company to the area and look forward to servicing our community as well as making great partnerships along the way. We are a dual purpose company; we can help you remove items no longer needed or that you would like to donate to our Goodwill partners. If you are in need of a full service across town move or would just like a hand moving some boxes or packing we have you covered.

What is your favorite part of running this business?
We are proud of our hard working young men and we pride ourselves on developing future leaders, this is what separates our business from the competition. It's in the training that these young leaders get everyday, be respectful, work hard and treat the customer right and you will make a great name for yourself in the community for years to come.

Who is your ideal customer/client? Who do you serve best?

We love to service everyone in our community, it is extra special though when someone calls who has had a bad experience with a removal or moving company in the past, that may sound crazy but we want to change the perception of the industry put a fresh spin on the old way of doing things.

Can you tell us something about yourself as the business owner?
I strive every day to build a company that makes every employee proud to say they are a H.U.N.K. Its very gratifying to see these young men develop into leaders and to grow this business into something that I can pass on to my family.

Are there any special promotions, annual sales, or special events that you'd like to mention?
We are always looking to build relationships within the community. We look forward to developing long term partnerships and are currently looking to help out with local events.

Is there any other information you'd like your potential customers/clients to know about your business?
We want everyone to know that we are very proud to be servicing our community and will go the extra mile on each and every job to make the customer happy.

How do you see your business growing and improving over the next couple of years?
Every day is an opportunity to grow and learn, we live by the tried-and-true practice of hard work pays off in the end.
