Storm upgraded to Potential Tropical Cyclone, with expected intensification to a hurricane. Expected landfall, for now, is western LA, but SE TX not completely out of the woods yet. HH recon should make it's first flight within the next hour or so.

@analogkid : Thank you thank you & love when you report !!!! Now we know something a little more dependable like HH Recon should make their 1st flight with in the next hr. But I got tree cutters over here yesterday & cut every single branch off my Oak tree .They worked from 2 :00 till 8:20 cutting all branches off & clean up . Now I'm going to measure my yard & see if I think the Huge Pine trees behind us in the neighbors yard will hit us . It is ( Undecided 's )husband who lives there & I'll ask him if I can measure from his trees to the fence . He is from our home town & his mother taught me Sunday school . I doubt that he would mind me cutting a Pine down if I'm paying for it .Which I've already had 2 huge Oaks & a Pine that destroyed my last home in the Oaks during Alicia .Most of you already knew that . If someone sneezes I get worried over the wind ! Can't help it .

@bbk : I just saw on Channel 11's site it is head for far to Lousiana. My son and I are still going down tomorrow and build some simple blocks for the sliders that would take a direct hit. Being prepared is the big deal and I've spent way too much money for that house to get damage right now without Windstorm insurance on it. The other house is insured and hopefully sturdy. I need to look at the trees here, too. Dh is out of town, of course!!!!

I need to go buy a manual can opener. 😀
