Atascocita Neighbors Plan To Build Lagoon

Loading Image...

Land Tejas has announced that Balmoral, a 580-acre development coming to the Humble - Atascocita area near Beltway 8, will house a 1.5-acre, crystal clear, beach-edged lagoon. Construction will begin shortly and should be open by next summer.

Here's a video rendering of some of the work that the company behind these massive creations, Crystal Lagoons, has made in other parts of the world.

"Crystal Lagoons has developed a pioneering, innovative, and environmentally sustainable technology that has been patented worldwide, which allows crystal clear lagoons of unlimited sizes to be built and maintained at very low costs anywhere in the world, using minimal amounts of chemicals and energy." ~ www.crystal-lagoons. com/home.html

"The community (Balmoral) is set against a backdrop of area woodlands, just off North Sam Houston Parkway and Woodland Hills Drive. Residents will be able to easily access major employers such as the dynamic Generation Park.." ~ landtejas.com

"Manicured landscapes will define Balmoral, a neighborhood conveniently located in Humble just a half mile north of Beltway 8. Balmoral will offer its residents gated and non-gated villages, well-planned amenities and on-site and nearby schools. Builders are planning an array of beautiful homes for this Land Tejas community, with pricing from the $200s." ~ balmoralhouston.com

OMG! It's looks Amazing, I'm ready to put my home in Walden on the market and buy a lot BUT.... it's not really in Atascocita ( I prefer Atascocita and Kingwood area) BUT...I'm willing to give up on location for the right home with that beautiful view BUT... the million$ question is, Will you smell the dump/ WasteManagement when the wind blows in that direction ? Maybe it's like the sound of a train or airplanes flying over, you get use to it. LOL! I don't think so 😜 I like to BBQ and smell the meat AS I Cook it on the grill, not after it's been "processed " the next day, Lol.

PS,I can't sleep so I'm commenting on some post. I'm sure that it's going to be a nice community. Just not for me.

looks like a huge swimming pool with sand on the bottom.

Am I missing something??

It is going to have to have a huge fence around it and expensive lifeguards. Like said it is going to be a huge expense unless they drain it when not in use

That I know of the pond behind the old Atascocita Club has has 2 good size alligators in it . Can you imagine something this big ? Of course the water should be so clear that you can see anything in there . I use to get snakes in our swimming pools.Built pools at 2 different homes & learned quickly to not just jump in .

It is sad to see all the trees that have been torn down for this neighborhood. There are even lost deer wandering the area.

However, they have already started the expansion of Woodland Hills Parkway to Atascocita. That is much needed!

I wonder if the community will get their own elementary school like The Groves did. The schools are already full in that area.

I feel like it's being marketed to make you think that it looks like a resort lifestyle community that can be obtained everyday. Interesting to see how that works out. Notice how the pic doesn't have that many people in the water. Almost paintings a scene...
Quite, semi secluded oasis.

Who ya fooling🤑? It's gonna be packed with tons of peeing in the pool kids. Lol!

@tot2teach
Yes it is ashamed to lose so many trees but more importantly are we going to end up with so much concrete that we end up with some flooding in our area ?

Great. Just what we need, cramming more people in an area without the roadways to support them. Just adding the the nightmare of traffic in our area and upping the odds of flooding where there never was before.

Can't wait.
