Stranger Danger Notice at Timberwood Middle School
From Principal Kenneth Buck, Timberwood Middle School:
"Dear Timberwood Middle School Parents,
We want to take every precaution for our students’ safety. With that in mind, I am sharing information with you about a stranger danger incident that was reported today.
This morning one of our 8th grade students was walking to school near the intersection of Droitwich Drive and Atascocita Road. A man driving a black suburban with dark tinted windows stopped and rolled down the window. The student reported the man said “Hey” and something else that the student could not make out. A driver in a car behind the suburban witnessed the exchange and stopped. The suburban proceeded to drive off. The driver of the car knew the student and took the student on to school. Campus Administrators contacted the students' parents and filed a report with the Humble ISD Police Department.
This is a good opportunity to emphasize the following safety tips with your children:
*If anything unusual occurs, tell an adult immediately. Parents and teachers need to know what happened right away.
*Walk or bike to and from school in groups.
*Never talk to strangers or accept rides from them.
*Arrange for immediate access to neighbors and other trusted adults who could answer questions or be contacted in an emergency.
*Tour the neighborhood with your child to identify safe and dangerous circumstances.
*Never get into a car, enter a home, look for a lost pet, or accept candy or toys from an adult, unless your parents know what you are doing and have given you their permission first.
Please report any concerns to school staff, Humble ISD Police at 281-641-7900, or through the Humble ISD iHELP app:

Kenneth Buck
