Harris County Constables Arrest Sex Offender for 9 Counts of Child Pornography
Investigators with Constable Mark Herman's Office received a Cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding an on-line account alleged to contain images of child sexual exploitation. Investigators determined the owner of the account, Wesley Grant Sterling was a registered sex offender who failed to comply with stipulations of his Sex Offender Registration from a 2002 Sexual Assault of a Child case.
Based upon the available information, a search warrant was obtained and executed on Wesley Sterling's residence. Upon executing the search warrant, investigators seized several electronic devices containing multiple images of child pornography.
With the evidence obtained through a detailed and thorough investigation, Constable Investigators charged Wesley Sterling with 9 counts of Possession of Child Pornography and 1 count of Failure to Comply with Registration Requirements.
Wesley Sterling has been arrested on these charges and placed in the Harris County jail awaiting trial. He received No Bond out of the 174th District Court.
