The program offers a multitude of free and low-cost classes and activities for retired, semi-retired, and working seniors age 50 and older. To learn more, ALL will host Open House events on Aug. 15 at the LSC-Atascocita Center and Aug. 22 at the East Montgomery County Improvement District. Both sessions are from 1-3 p.m.

"We offer non-credit courses, lectures, and social activities for continued intellectual and personal growth. The curriculum offers a range of instruction that will capture the interests of all members," said Pat Chandler, LSC-Kingwood continuing education director.

This fall, available courses will cover a wide variety of interests such as arts and crafts, gardening skills, photography techniques, health and wellness, technology, genealogy, yoga, literary discussion groups and many more.

"ALL provides enrichment for the mind along with a chance to socialize with folks that have a love of learning. My husband and I look forward to each fall/spring semester just to see what surprises they have in store for us," said Sandra and Clem Reid, LSC-Kingwood ALL members.

Along with the many courses and programs offered, members also take monthly field trips to a variety of attractions in Houston. METRO transports groups to museums, various historical sites in downtown Houston, parks, theaters, Rice University, and many other locations.

"Being a long-standing member of ALL Kingwood has given me so much pleasure. Interesting classes, great friendships, and fun people. I look forward to the many varied classes all week," said Steve Cady, member.

Annual membership for ALL is $25 from Sept. 1-Aug. 31. For individuals who want to join the ALL Program at all six campuses, the global membership is $65. Although most courses are free, some classes may require a small event fee, supplies, or entrance fees. There are no educational requirements.
