An international clothing store headquartered in Sweden will be opening a new US location in Deerbrook Mall later this year.

I'm sure most of you have seen the stores blocked off in Deerbrook Mall from Macy's to Forever 21 on the lower floor across from the old Palais Royal. Well, it turns out, the construction project will be an H&M store.

H&M is an international chain headquartered in Sweden, and mostly dealing in popular fashion for men, women and children.

According to a press release form H&M, the new store will be 19,000 sq feet and employ at least 20 people.

For more information on H&M, visit hmgroup.com/about-us .html

There's still a lot of growth in the area. It would be nice if Generation Park could lure tenants like this.

The only H&M I've been to was in France. They have nice clothes for good prices. I'm glad to see an actual store moving in instead of some 3 for $20 nonsense store that lasts a few months. 20 people seems a low number of employees for a large store.

@sandman : I think in our lifetime, ALL malls will be dying malls. Malls generally suck (except you, The Woodlands Mall! ❤).

I love H&M! Not just for me, but I used to dress my baby/toddler girls in their clothes all the time (that, and Naartjie! Emoticon ).

H&M is notoriously economical/affordable for ready wear fashion and current fashion trends. It will be a welcome addition to Deerbrook Mall and younger shoppers. It is a bit to trendy for me but I am over 50 and I do most of my shopping over the internet.

This is great! I've been to the H&M in NYC. To me this is the equivalent of Macy's and Dillard's with some new brands to try.
