School Board Election Early Voting Info

Early voting began today, Monday, April 22, in the Humble ISD School Board Election. Election Day is Saturday, May 4. School board members are volunteers, who serve without pay, and are elected for four-year terms.

This year, there are three positions up for election on the seven-member board.

Trustee Position No. 2: Janie Branham, Nikki Roux, Ryan Engolio, Robert Scarfo. Incumbent Keith Lapeze has served on the Board since 2006 and is not seeking re-election.

Trustee Position No. 6: Colin Carney, Lori Twomey

Trustee Position No. 7: Nancy Morrison

Any registered voter who resides in Humble ISD may vote early at any of the following early voting locations:

Atascocita Branch Library, 19520 Pinehurst Trail Drive, Humble, 77345
Humble City Hall, 114 W. Higgins St., Humble, 77338
Kingwood Community Center, 4102 Rustic Woods Drive, Kingwood, 77345
Octavia Fields Branch Library, 1503 South Houston Avenue, Humble, 77338

Early voting dates and times are:

Monday, April 22, through Saturday, April 27, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Sunday, April 28, from 1 to 6 p.m.
Monday, April 29, through Tuesday, April 30, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Election Day is Saturday, May 4. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Registered voters may vote at any Harris County Voting Location. The following are Election Day Locations within Humble ISD:

I haven't been able to locate the bios on the district's website for the candidates for position 2. Does anyone know where I can find those?

Reminder! Polling numbers are disappointing. Surely we all care a little more about our school district than what the numbers tell us. As much belly aching as takes place here and on other sites, you'd think we'd all give up 10 minutes of our time to go vote.

C'mon y'all. 7am-7pm today and tomorrow, then Saturday is the last day 7am-7pm.

My teen and I voted at the Atascocita library on Pinehurst. It literally was a 5 min process, 3 people to vote on and done. No wait, just show your license.

@AGLLM : Totally agree. I posted about that throughout the election. One person on the Humble ISD Parents Page said she was getting a copy of voter records and anytime someone complained on that page, she'd check to see if they voted and if not, put them on blast.

TBH I kinda like it.

From Robert Sitton's FB post:
Scarfo wins his bid to return to the board, garnering 55.91% of the vote, with newcomer, Nikki Roux getting 24.03%, Janie Branham 17.06% and Ryan Engolio 3.01%.

By 10:45pm, the final update of the night had Twomey up 51.05 - 48.95%.

I'm unhappy with the Twomey win because I recall her passion and zeal for the school bond pool project. She fought so hard for it despite it not being something the communities wanted to support. And it was financially irresponsible IMO. And now she's on the school board. So.....
