PCT 4 Patrol Deputies were able to arrest a DWI suspect after he attempted to elude them in his vehicle and then again on foot.
According to reports from PCT 4, on February 24, 2019, a deputy with Constable Mark Herman's Office initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 14800 block of Woodland Hills Drive. The driver failed to stop, leading deputies on a brief pursuit.
Constable Deputies were able to stop the vehicle in the 12300 block of Breckenwood Mills Drive. The driver exited the vehicle and fled on foot. After a brief foot pursuit, the driver was apprehended and identified as Tyler Clerk, who displayed several signs of intoxication. Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were administered and it was discovered that he was driving while intoxicated.
"Tyler Clerk was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Evading in a Motor Vehicle and Driving While Intoxicated. He received a $100.00 bond out of County Court 15 for Driving While Intoxicated and a $2,500.00 bond for Evading in a Motor Vehicle out of the 176th District Court." - Constable Mark Herman
