The owner of J.T.'s Sports Bar in Atascocita has voluntarily cancelled her permit to sell alcohol following a joint probe by the Harris County Sheriff's Office and District Attorney investigators into narcotics offenses at the establishment .
According to reports from the Harris County DA's Office, six people, including employees of J.T.'s Sports Bar, were recently charged with possession of and selling cocaine to undercover Sheriff's Office deputies, along with other crimes.
"This is the latest push in our ongoing effort to stop the carnage on our roadways," said Sean Teare, chief of Vehicular Crimes Division of the District Attorney's Office. "Establishments like this one fuel mayhem inside their walls and on our streets."
The establishment at 8110 East FM 1960 has a history of selling alcohol to minors; serving after hours; serving to drunks and spurring violence such as aggravated assault and DWIs, according to court records.
The permit cancellation takes effect February 4.

Joshua Michael Bowers, 27 (Possession of Controlled Substance)
