The Humble Voice competition gives three Humble ISD high school students an opportunity to sing alongside celebrity artists - Mike Ryan, Parker McCollum and Aaron Watson - at the 2019 Humble Rodeo & BBQ Cook-Off.
Twenty-six Humble ISD high school students auditioned for the vocal competition held at Bender Performing Arts Center. The top ten finalists were invited to showcase their talents in hopes of winning a chance to sing with country music artists at the Humble Rodeo.
The Humble Voice winners are Alexys Deets, Atascocita High School junior, Brooke Searcy, Kingwood Park High School sophomore, and Sarah Garza, Atascocita High School senior.
Winners were determined by a panel of five community judges. Judges included Adam Foster - Humble Rodeo, Houston Hayes - Humble ISD Director of Fine Arts, Dr. Robert Meaux - Humble ISD Historian, David Pierce - Humble City Councilman, and Jennifer Wooden - Humble Civic Center Director.
The competition ended with a special guest performance from Sarah Grace, contestant of The Voice season 15.
