Traffic Stop Leads To Meth Arrest

A Huffman man was arrested after a Deputy allegedly located more than a gram of meth on him during a traffic stop in Atascocita over the weekend.

According to reports from PCT 4, on October 21, 2018, a deputy with Constable Mark Herman's Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 5800 block of FM 1960 East in Atascocita. The person was driving the vehicle with no headlights on when they were required to be.

During the course of the traffic stop, the driver was identified as 38-yerar-old Glen Newton from Huffman. Newton was found to be in possession of 1.03 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine.

"Glen Newton was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. His bond is set at $25,000.00 out of the 177th District Court." - Constable Mark Herman

Sometimes I look at mugshots of people my age (or younger) and think man, I know I don't look that old. Drugs are bad.

I am not in the know, so please educate me. Is 1 gram of meth enough to get high? If so, how many highs? It just seems like that is very minimal. Once again, I don't know.
