Man Arrested For Ripping Off Atascocita Resident
A handyman/contractor from Tomball has been arrested for taking money from an Atascocita resident and not starting the work he promised to do. Did he get you or someone you know as well??
On May 03, 2017, Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to the 18700 block of Rusty Anchor Court in Atascocita in reference to a theft call. A homeowner reported that he had hired and paid Lorenzo Perez a large amount of money up front to build an outdoor patio and pergola. The homeowner stated that Perez never began the project.
Constable Deputies spent several days investigating leads and eventually were able to get a photo of Perez to construct a lineup. The homeowner positively identified Lorenzo Perez as the man he hired.
Perez (28, Tomball) was arrested, charged with Theft and booked into the Harris County Jail. His bond is currently set at $35,000.00 out of the 176th District Court.
“Deputies are working on identifying additional homeowners in the area who may have also hired and paid Perez for work that he never performed. Once identified additional charges may be filed.” – Precinct 4 Constable, Mark Herman
