Construction will begin at the intersection of West Lake Houston Parkway and Will Clayton Parkway tomorrow (Tuesday, January 3rd). The $392,000 improvement includes extending two existing left-turn lanes, as well as adding an additional left-turn lane on West Lake Houston Parkway for drivers heading northbound to turn westbound onto Will Clayton Parkway.
“There’s been a lot of construction in the Atascocita area lately, so we really appreciate everyone’s patience,” said Commissioner Morman. “This project will require lane closures, but our team is working closely with the contractors to minimize the impact on traffic.”
Drivers are encouraged to take alternate routes for the duration of construction. Suggested routes include FM 1960 or Atascocita Road. The intersection improvement is expected to last about 60 days and should be complete in the second quarter of 2017.
They need to do it while they have the funds, otherwise they could be reallocated. Let's get it done and move on to the next project. Stop grumbling. Some areas don't have the funds and can't fix problems. Be thankful we can.
