Social Media Insanity
Apparently there's no such thing as having a bad day anymore. Now your bad day just might end up on the Internet thanks to cameras that are just about watching our every public move. Be they attached to a cell phone or surveillance system you have to assume you're being photographed or filmed.
Accordingly as with the recently suspended ESPN reporter, if you momentarily become angry in a public space your temporary insanity can come back to hunt you. A couple of decades ago when this happened, decent people went back to the person they unjustly unloaded on and apologized. Now you might be on some social media site before the sun sets.
This can be especially hazardous if you have one of those careers in which the company or organization determines you represent them 24 hours a day. So you get into it with the parking attendant during "off hours" and next thing you know you're called on the carpet having to explain your actions. At best some receive verbal counseling in these situations. At worst some lose their jobs.
So just like the old Christmas song - You better watch out, You better not cry, Better not pout I'm telling you why...
