We have a two storied house with a lot of large trees around it. I can see small plants growing (from the acorns) in the gutters. I don't let my hubs do it, he's self-employed and we depend on his well being. So, I prefer to pay a professional for something like that.

those gutters are very full and heavy. they will begin to sag under all the weight of dirt and tree debris. I have gutters just above my entrances. gutters at the level of a two story don't really perform any function. I would remove them.

@sandman I don't know... What's a rate for these kind of services?
I called Kingwood pressure washers this morning. Couple of spots need to be repaired. You can see water spots on the wall.
Can I access my inbox from the mobile version?
If we remove the gutters from the 2nd level all the water would fall on to the roof of the first level.

We always ask our neighbors if any of their teenagers need a few extra bucks. Or if any of their teenagers are grounded and need some punishment.

Local lawn crew, if they have visibLE ladder on the trailer, offer $25-50, probably your cheapest option. Or approach them with how much for one time mowing and clean my gutters?

Gutters keep the heavy rains from making huge waterfalls in the valley parts of the roof, that hit the ground and splatter mud everywhere. We have them on the back and sides of the house. Used to have a gutter cleaning service, but the contract ran out. Then we got new gutters this past fall. Some window cleaning services will also clean gutters. Just make sure whoever you hire to do the job, that they are insured!
And I disagree that second story gutters don't perform any function. Water falling to the ground from way up there, makes an even bigger mess when it hits the ground.
