@Weathergirl5 : LOL, I beat the springs off that thing. It was the best Christmas present ever. A few years later I was quite ready for the real horses I rode.

@chasinghosts : I think I went through about three or four of them too. I kept breaking them. I never got the real horse. Always wanted one though.

@Weathergirl5 : Never got my own horse either but one of my best friend's Mom owned a boarding stable and we would feed, brush and walk horses there for the privilege of riding hers whenever we wanted.

@chasinghosts : That's a pretty close second right there. That might actually be something my parents would've gone for if we knew someone that owned a horse back then. Way cheaper than actually owning one.

@Weathergirl5 : Sure was and it was a great way to keep us bored teens out of trouble. When I was 13 I had to go to a National campout with my parents. We had to go for the whole week before it because my dad was in charge of the entertainment. They had Trail rides so I went a few days in a row and because I rode up to their standards the guide asked if I wanted to run some trails for them for free riding. Another thing that kept me out of trouble.

@chasinghosts : That sounds awesome! I would've loved to been around horses when I was growing up. I went down to the horse stables last weekend and saw the horses in the pasture. I just hung out and watched them for a while. They were so beautiful and calming.

@Weathergirl5 : I had a few at the end of my block when I was a little girl and my love grew from them. I used to go feed them apples and carrots after school every day. My son lives in Bluegrass country in KY. This is what we saw every time we go for a visit.
