Has anyone here rec'd the dreaded close contact call from AHS? I missed a call this afternoon from the school, but there was a VM message of 3 seconds of silence. The number on caller ID goes to a fax machine and I can't get anyone else to answer other extensions at school. So if anyone has received one of those calls and has access to the number, please PM me. This is going to drive me crazy. Emoticon

@Sammee : We got one from TMS. They left a message and sent a follow-up email. If no email then I wouldn't worry about it.

@Sammee : Someone else here has gotten them (a few, I think?). Was it @blueyes or @+1 ?

I wouldn't worry too much. If it's important, they'll get a hold of you. I've been conditioned to dread those (281)641- calls! 🤣

Edit: It was @+1 .

Most of our notice say say that someone in the school has tested positive but I've gotten 4 or five e-mail notices with my DD's name on them but no phone calls.

The notices say she was in class with someone that tested positive but unless called, do nothing. Last week I got a notice that three people in her class had tested positive.

What do you have to be doing to get the call, kissing the one that tested positive?

It's all crazy! As many as we've gotten, no covid here, thank goodness.

@Ladyfairlane : The only reason they would call would be for lunch. The district goes by CDC guidelines and to be considered a close contact you have to:
1. Be less than 6 feet apart, AND
2. Be maskless, AND
3. Be in contact for more than 15 minutes.

Nevermind the fact that the virus particle is too small to be contained by fabric masks or anything less than an N95. Nevermind the fact that a lot of the kids don't even wear the masks correctly and have their noses sticking out.

I just now got the classroom email that states there was one close contact who would have been contacted previously. Since the number that called left a silent VM message, now I'm going to wonder all night if they left me a message and there was a technical difficulty. Ugggggghhhh
