HEB Delivery

Just a shout-out. Have ordered groceries from them a few times now in the last couple of weeks, and man...they nail it every time! No subs/out of stock items (and I order some weird stuff! Hush, @ginx 🤣), fresh produce/meat, prompt, contactless delivery.

Highly recommend. Worth the tip when you don't feel like getting out. 5 stars!

Not sure I'd do "full" grocery shopping this way, but only because I'd feel like a punk.

@Sammee : LOL I was watching the Dick Van Dyke show yesterday (don't judge me... I'm obsessed with that new channel), and Laura had groceries delivered in a big box. Dude just opened the sliding glass door, strolled right in to the kitchen, and plopped it on the counter. Then they chewed the fat for a few minutes. 🤣

@brightlights : Have you had any problems with them on their fresh produce or meat selection? This is the one thing that keeps me in the store. We do curbside quite a bit, but I have a hard time letting them pick out my steak and veggies...

Have you had any problems with them on their fresh produce or meat selection?

@Floyd : Not so far, but admittedly, I haven't ordered much in the way of meat (ground beef, thin-cut chicken breasts, a small brisket...all fantastic) or veggies, but the ones I have gotten have been super fresh (lettuces, broccoli, fruit, asparagus, onions, etc.) Well, I got some rock hard jumbo avocados, but that's the norm lately. They'll ripen!

@brightlights : That is awesome. I have not done their delivery but I have been doing curbside ever since April. Overall I have been pleased with it. There were a lot of subs in the beginning but that has gotten better.

@brightlights : Back in my younger days when milk was delivered, the delivery man would knock on the back door come in and put the milk in the refrigerator then pick up the empty's on the way out.

@ladybeachbum : I meant no contact as in they just leave it where you direct them to. I think it has been established that the virus doesn't live on food/surfaces? Otherwise, we'd all starve to death! 😃

@brightlights : Not as much lately, but yes. I was just asking about the terms and can they really do it.
I'm cooking more at home for me but the guys eat out a bunch.

@brightlights : My son rarely will go inside a restaurant but if I am going to eat food out, I'd rather because I feel like a real restaurant is held more accountable. That may not be true. The gloved guy at Taco Bell may scratch his nose with the gloves on. It is all just crazy.
