I really hope no one ever has to Deal with their loved one being in the hospital or any sort of medical facility during this covid crisis. My dad went into the hospital the 27th of December. He was just moved yesterday to a rehab facility in the woodlands. Not once in this whole ordeal have i been able to talk to a nurse about his condition. Not once has a nurse called me back after I was told they would. NOT ONCE! I am on ******* fire. I am LIVID. I was told tonight that if I wanted to see my dad, he was in a window room and I could bring a lawn chair and sit outside his window to look at him. Yeah.. ******* livid!
@DaycareMom : I'm very sorry you're going through that. I would be inconsolable in that situation.
@DaycareMom : I'm so sorry!! I'd be mad too. I can't even imagine how nerve wracking that would be. On the bright side I'm glad he's finally out of the hospital! Prayers for full recovery for him. Hoping you can visit him soon.

@DaycareMom : Sorry you are going through this. My 80 year old grandma is hospitalized as well due to COVID not here in Houston but back home but a nurse does call my mother every morning and evening to let her know the status of my grandma. Unfortunately my family were all together for Christmas that one had COVID and now 6 of my family members have tested positive for COVID. Thank God, we chose to stay here at home this year bc if not we too could've been positive for COVID as well. My DH his sister is very ill at Katy hospital right now of COVID as well.
@Cowboys81 : I am really sorry to hear about your sweet grandma and about the 6 in your family testing positive for COVID. So sorry about your husband's sister. Pray that she gets well soon. Prayers for all of your sick ones. God be with you and prayers for wellness and good health.
I've still yet to talk to a nurse. After sobering up I decided as his medical power of attorney that he is where he needs to be. I had a discussion with my boss today and he advised me that if I went and picked him up I would have to take a leave and quarantine for 14 days. I just can't go that long without pay. I told him he was putting wayyyy too many people at risk wanting to leave that place simply bc they aren't waiting on him hand and foot. Had to really take a look at reality vs emotion to make my decision. Really in the long run I feel like I've made the best decision on many accounts
@DaycareMom : Sometimes you have to make the best decisions without consulting your heart. It is damn hard but knowing that he is on the mend should help some.
@DaycareMom : i am sorry you cant visit you dad. i was in the hospital last february, march ,april, and the last time in august. my hospital stay in feb. was before the covid really started so i had visitors . the last 3 times no visitors. fortunately for me i was in the woodlands memorial hermann hospital where my son worked so he was able to come check on me before his shift started. from a patients point of view it was very lonely you only have contact with the nurses and other staff. i will keep your dad in my prayers and not knowing what he is going through makes it harder on both of you.i can tell you that you can call and ask for the nursing supervisor or the hospital administrator and voice your concerns.
@DaycareMom : I'm sitting here crying not just for you & your dad's situation but for ours as well . We have some awful stuff going on here that my hubby is going to have to have surgery for . We have 1 more test to get done & then he will be going .
