Wearing a mask here in Atascocita

Do you wear a mask even if a location does not require/enforce it?
Do you just walk out when there are more people without masks than there are with masks?
Do you keep yourself 6 feet from others at all times?
Have you walked into a place only to realize you forgot your mask but no one said anything? Or maybe one person did and you just brushed it off?

I was just curious about what others have done.

Thank you for your participation and I want snow this year! Emoticon

@Andi7 : haha, just witnessed a rant at a store entry yesterday. Someone who was asked to put one on was not happy.

I really did forget my mask one day. My dad had a rental because his is in the shop. I didn't have my purse. We were running errands & decided to stop at Panera. We walked in, he had his on. They handed me a napkin & told me to hold it over my mouth. That was it. No drama.

This is Texas. If you're threatening someone's life by choosing not to wear a mask around them they have the right to shoot you. Best to wear it.

I was at the gas station not too long ago and a guy came in without a mask. I looked like this 😳 as we made eye contact. I quickly looked away hoping I didn't just create any kind of conflict. I don't think the attendant said anything, but there is clearly a sign on the door.

Have been staying in pretty much and getting groceries delivered. But hubs requires a lot of doctor visits and wear a mask.
I found myself in a pretty interesting situation last weekend and discovered something about myself.
It was my Grands 3rd birthday party with about 50 or so people.
No one wore mask except the face painter.
I had mine in hand but did not put on. I question my self the reasons why I didn't. Did it have to do with wanting to be socially accepted? I failed myself.
One thought of Joy today however, I found the mask provides warmth on a cold rainy day when we went out for a dr apt.

@MooMaw : I personally think mask-wearing should be a choice and not something to be policed. There are many things I'm sure I do or don't do that are socially unaccepted but I don't do it to please or displease anyone. If my family chooses not to wear masks when we get together, I'm okay with it. If a business doesn't require their patrons to wear masks, I'm okay with it. If a business requires it, I will wear one. I have personally never felt threatened by this virus any more than any other thing that can make me sick. But everyone has their own perspective on it and I can respect that.

We had a few people in today without them. I could say something but then I think of stories like this.

I honestly don't notice who is or isn't wearing them I guess cuz I don't care one way or the other. I always wear mine but have had to go back to my car for it many times. 🙄

i walked into Walmart yesterday to buy prepackaged coleslaw, i forgot my mask in the car. Nobody said anything, but i saw other people has theirs on. I said dang turned around, went back to my care got my mask. Went back in bought my one item and left.

I just try to be respectful. If they have a sign up requiring mask i respect their business policy. It is like the old no shirt, no shoes, no service signs. It wasn't a law, it was a policy. I wonder why people didn't feel like shirts and shoes were an infringement on their rights as well?

I wear one because it says I have to but if it didn't, I think I'd pass but always have one on me in case some idiot is sick and out.

Having lived in Japan, I follow their example. I wear a mask where there is any near contact possible. Gas station, curbside pickup, etc.

I think it bothers me the most that it is considered a political thing by so many. We had an office in another state with a large number quarantined and some sick recently due to lackadaisical attitude about social distancing. We are running a business that depends on people being able to work in proximity and meets schedules.

As a business leader, I am obliged to lead by example. If it were left to me - I probably wouldn't wear the mask, but I respect those around me enough to conform. I also have traveled and socially interacted quite a bit this year - I expect that I have regular exposure to the fungus - so the fact that I have not been sick is appreciated. (maybe I have and just not aware)
