Bringin' It Back...

So we were getting low on laundry and had to dig deep In the back of my chest of drawers and I walked out yesterday wearing...

Yep - CARGO SHORTS!!!

O lawd... Wife: What are you wearing?? Do not go out in public!

Me: Haven't you heard? These are making a fashion comeback and I'm leading the charge!

I still don't see what's wrong with cargo shorts. Why were my kids laughing?

I don't see what's wrong with it either - just a type of shorts. To judge fairly, we need a pic

While I doubt my wife would like them, I would go with them. However, they are a bit faded and camo - you'll never fool charlie in those!

My DH wears cargo shorts, as do the majority of men who wear shorts

. He wouldnt wear them to the golf course, and if he needed to dress nicer, he wouldn't be wearing shorts in the first place. What's your wife's idea of acceptable shorts?
Make yourself a pair of cutoff jeans shorts that are too short and start wearing those instead. She'll be glad for you to wear your cargos next time.

@sandman : Those are older than my kids...I can't part with them. In fact I've had them longer than we've been married. Somehow these didn't get tossed with the flannel shirts and Members Only jacket 20 years ago.

@Sammee : She buys me golf shorts which I wear a lot. But sometimes they are too fancy for getting dirty when I go mudding or fishing or hunting or playing or riding or drinking and driving...wait...skip the driving. I'll wear the fancy shorts driving as long as don't hit a bump and spill my beer.

They look like the shorts my 5 year old is wearing. Actually was wearing, he spilled syrup all over them.

@johnson : I wear sort of a cargo short when working around the beach or at home. I need pockets! My dang phone falls out of regular shorts. They may look better but they don't hold what I need.
