I am not someone who looks for any little thing to be outraged about, but this toy is disturbing. I had the misfortune of being exposed to a pedophile's grooming when I was 10. Luckily for me, my parents educated me and I knew what he was doing was wrong, even if I was too young to properly process it. It started slowly as playing chase and catching us, excuses to touch us. Over a few weeks it progressed to tickling, then went to accidentally touching a breast while tickling. He was much too familiar with touching us, but that's how they groom kids and make them doubt the warning signs. The red flags went off in my little brain and that's when I stopped going to that friends house to play. Fast forward to when I was 15 and I found out he was a bonafide pedophile who had molested many of his daughter's friends. As an adult, I've spoken with his ex-wife and now know this to be true.
I believe that this toy would plant seeds of confusion and self-doubt into a young child's head.
It passed through many levels of employees at Hasbro who thought this button location was a good idea and gave approval.
