Just saw my cousin in a video of my hometown, counter protesting the blm crowd. They revved up their Harley (engines) and loudly played rock' roll music when the protestors spoke of killing police. My cousin and his fellow "counter protestors" were there to make sure they didn't destroy/deface our Confederate statue on the courthouse lawn.
The protestors were a pitiful sight; little wimpy man-bun snowflakes, one with his wool hat on in 100 degree weather, one girly man in a rainbow dress.
The black people were fine. The silly white boys were acting foolishly.
So proud Texans defended our beautiful Sam Houston statue!

Notice the guns but no masks.

More worried about non existent threats than the real one knocking at their door.

Good Lord, we almost headed that way today to see the massive statue. I see I'm just going to have to sling it if we plan on traveling anywhere. Can't even take carefree day trips anymore.

Not a single person wearing a mask either, smh.

@mastiffrex : No. Your friend created the same post twice. Your comments are still sitting on his other post. 🙄

Was Sam Houston part of the confederacy? I see I need to do some research.

Sam Houston refused to join the confederacy and resigned over the vote by state legislators to join. He tired to what is now Huntsville. He worked and fought his life for the liberty of Texas. Not the Confederacy.

@Fairlane67 : That's what I thought, however, he did preside over the removal of the Cherokee nation from TN, so I suppose there is where grievances lie. Of course, I know nothing of the artist other than he was born in 1927.

@eighteen : yes I suggest you do some research....Houston was a complex individual, and not so easily defined. He was an Americsn hero.
