Because you should always wear a life jacket, anything can happen in a large body of water.

We don't usually keep on life jackets when we swim off our boat. Maybe a floatie but not usually a whole life jacket all buttoned up and such. Maybe need to reconsider.

I'm sure they will look into the possibility of suicide. She made some posts lately indicating some emotional struggles. The boat was a rental. I hope that is not the case but it wouldn't surprise me. People do crazy things.

I thought about the same thing....but she was carrying a lot of things with her. If you're gonna kill yourself...why all the extra stuff? Idk. 😔 Maybe...she had a cramp and couldn't get back on the boat. 😢

getting in the water to swim without a PFD isnt a surprise. Getting in the water at all without a second adult is really surprising and sad; so many things COULD go wrong - unless I suppose they were tied up along the shoreline.It is easy to cast suspicion without knowing all of the facts.Prayers to her and that poor traumatized child.
