Stray Bullet In Pinehurst

We woke up to a bullet hole July 5th that went through our second story bedroom (hardy plank and drywall) and landed on the other side of the room. Luckily nobody was injured. Based on what I can figure out it came from around the area of the new power plant area and hit our home on 12th Fairway. The constables were called and met with us. If you have any info I would appreciate it. I found the bullet and it appears to be a 9MM (target ammo). And to the dumb*** that fired, you're lucky you didn't kill someone. Thanks for being an irresponsible idiot.

I am really starting to hate the stupidity of people. I had to discuss with my wife if the kids should all sleep down stairs on the 4th just in case of a stray bullet from some moron. She thought I was being overly protective. But I should have went with my gut. Crazy ******* people who shouldn't own guns.

Wow! How scary is that!!! So glad that nobody was hurt! Some people should not have or even be in reaching distance of a gun. Glad you reported it to the Constables.

@Liberty1776 : Do you mean the new substation on 1960? I do not know of a new power plant in the area.

My parents had this happen awhile back...they lived in the country and the neighbor's meth head kid and idiot friends put a bullet through their window about 1/2 mile away.

@johnson : Yes, Substation. That's a much more accurate word for it. The angle looks to between the Substation all the way to the church parking lot.

That's something they teach you when you take a gun class. Not to shoot into the air because what goes up must come down!!! You always need to know your target. It's sad/scary that people with guns don't understand common things!

Every Fourth of July and sometimes New Years some ignorant fool does this and puts thousands of lives in jeopardy. I hope they catch him and make a harsh example.

@Liberty1776 : OMG. Our best friend lives on 12th Fairway. I will call him and ask him if he heard or knows anything. You are blessed to have no one hurt or worse. I hope somehow they know they could have killed someone. Just stupid.

Wow you were lucky! Every year you hear of an idiot that wants to pop off a few rounds during the Fourth and/or New Years. I hope the cops find this idiot before he/she hurts or kills somebody!

I have been trying to let people know this is happening in Pinehurst. I even had the constables out a while back. We've got some bad kids out here lately.
