I am undecided. So many things can, and will, change in the next 6 weeks. Ugh.

My last child in HS will be physically present at school everyday possible.
With in the last few weeks he turned two of his 90+ grades into 30s.
And missed almost every zoom classroom.His counselor recommended i remind him before each one, not possible for some who is at work and literally has 5 or more people just waiting to be the next person in line to get your next free minute.

Not requiring anyone to wear masks seems odd. I guess there is no way to enforce it so they won't even try.

Private school or home school for your children. We are seeing the outcome of the state schooling our children. Break the teachers union and allow for competition in education. Smaller classes for the teachers too.

@Sammee : Agreed. I feel like it's way too early to make this call, especially in light of the recent uptick. The whole thing with changing elections before school starts sounds like a huge cluster fudge.Have no idea what we will decide. I can't stand the thought of mine wasting away at home again (very difficult on kids! Mine were really affected!). But I'm also not hopeful that any safety protocols will be followed with any continuity.

Staying home all day from classes but going after school for football practice seems like a weird option. I'm not sure what good that's going to do.

@WeveBecomeEastHouston : You misread. Each parent has to choose one of the 3 options for their individual child(ren) by July 1st. That constitutes your "reservation" for the school year. It's not a survey. Your individual child(ren)'s name is on the reservation form. It does say you can modify if your circumstances change, but I have zero faith in that process!

What an impossible decision for parents to make. Let them stay home and barely learn anything, having no social interactions, leaving the parent feeling guilty for the amount of time they are spending in front of electronic devices. Or... send them to school with so many unknown variables. The possibility of mask wearing, being exposed constantly to harsh chemicals, emotional and mental ramifications.
