More storms possible late this evening

CenterPoint Energy reported more than 180,000 power outages in the Houston area as the storms moved through. Another weaker round of storms will likely move in after 8 p.m. The first line of storms most likely stabilized our atmosphere enough the keep the second round a little weaker. Brief heavy rain, gusty winds, and intense lightning will all be possible this evening between 8 p.m and midnight.
