As of now I am not that concerned until late fall or winter. It could jump and I expect new cases but I don't believe the climate is right for it at this time.

Modeling predictions have been bullseye so far.

He said the model suggests that Houston and Harris County is in the right situation for a surge, but that it can be prevented.
"If people recognized what a danger this really was and voluntarily started following these (CDC) guidelines, it could be controlled, and you wouldn't have a surge, and businesses could be open to a larger extent," Morris said.

^^Fear mongering bull. It can be prevented if you do as we say even though we have bee wrong about everything so far. Control and power must be intoxicating.

Hopefully they haven't dismantled the temporary hospital yet. It may be needed.

@rabbit8 : Where exactly have they been wrong so far? That's total bull. My friend is an ER Doc in Pittsburgh. He says it's worse than what they're saying. Anyway, we'll see in about 2 weeks after the mass congregations at churches and water parks contaminates everyone. I'm gonna need a lake house and a new truck in case anyone wants to Will them to me. I'll take good care of your dog as long as it's not a Pitt. Sorry no cats, I'm allergic.

It's really sad driving around just seeing how many people are not wearing masks or cramed together in stores like there's no pandemic at all. Sad

@weddz : There are alot of gullible people here. Everyone I know and their friends even the Republican ones in Chicago are sheltered in place. They do not want to catch it or give it to their family members. They are having online gatherings for the holiday. I guess it comes down to what you really care about.

Everything I've read in the news has been spot on.
Back in January, they said future pandemic, and was a matter of "when" not 'if' it came to USA,
That happened.
They said increased testing would slow the spread.
That happened.
They said if we all did social distancing, we could flatten the curve and keep hospitals from overburdened.
That happened.
They said we would reach 100,000 deaths by June 1.
We are almost there, actually will reach that before June.
They said spikes would come in waves.
I see that happening in the next few months. Especially with the way people are behaving this weekend.

@texas2011 : Exactly and noone can predict the future for sure, the Scientists and Doctors are leaning as they go, so anyone that is not understanding that things will be unpredictable need to just go to church or the woods or their back yard and pray on it. Maybe that will help. Watching and reading conspiracy theory and spreading it will not help. I can guarantee you that.
