Inspired by @Astrokatz, I think we should have a weekly "cook-off". We'll decide on a dish and then post photos of you're finished product. Then we vote on who's looks best. Anyone?

I cook and let each plate their own, so not much on presentation, unless it's a holiday meal. BUT, I'm pretty good at modeling and can put together a nice camera ready meal with clay and styrofoam so I'm in....
And in that spirit, let's go chicken. Rules: Chicken must be used, preferably main item or Incorporated significantly. One photo of your meal. Looks is everything, since we all can't taste. Send one sentence description. 8pm CDT Sunday deadline. Private message me your entry with subject "Atascocita cook off 1" Voting will be Monday until 8pm. Please do NOT vote for your own. Anyone can vote, only winner revealed. Tip 100 credits to THIS post to enter. Winner gets all the credits and picks theme for next week.

Thanks for the kind words but count me out. I cook to relax around the house. I get enough pressure when I am in Cook offs and money is on the line. I got carried away posting too many pictures and it was not for competition, but just to share. I learned a long time ago when you get to serious the fun goes away. Enjoy.
I see pictures all the time on here of BBQ & it's charred black & I see people saying oh yum !!!!!!!! No thanks ,I eat nothing with even a tiny spot of black on it . Google ---- Keep Cancer off the BBQ grill / MD Anderson Cancer Center . High temperatures are a big no no . Black is a no no My mother had cancer the 1st time in 1975 & again 25 yrs later . She had a sister die at 26 of cancer Another sister had cancer & 3 of that sisters children have died of cancer . I'm picky with what I eat . I don't like a bunch of grease & I don't eat anything with black charred stuff on it . I spent many years with my mother at MDA she was part of a study with experimental drugs that saved her life .
