I'm OK with this situation. But frankly I'm tired of the ignorance, misinformation and overreaction.

My mom's schedule is all messed up. She's 10 hours ahead of me. She goes to sleep around 6 pm, wakes up at 3 am, stays up until 10 am, goes to sleep. She calls me at odd hours, and I'm like "Why aren't you sleeping?" And she says she sleeps when she gets sleepy, nothing to do anyway. She lives in an apartment, so it's not like she can go out for a fresh air, and in her city the elderly can get out only for groceries and dr appointments and pharmacy. They have to have Dr notes at all times. It's pretty backwards there so there are no online shopping, she still has to go out for groceries but that just adds up to the risk

@MooMaw : Thanks! I just want to go back to work but even if I could I can't work weekdays now because of the kids. And my husbands schedule is crazy, sometimes he works Saturday and/or Sunday. Hell I'd work overnight. 😂. My house is a mess and I just feel zero motivation.

@TXNS_fan : You are not alone. These days seem just getting by but feeling blessed at the same time. I can't imagine having all the senior activities canceled when they are so look forward. Just know the children of this time will be stronger and will be able to adapt to anything.
I sure hope soon you will be able to see your mom. Sending prayers for safety for your family.

@MrsT : I understand about the motivation. I hear all of these people doing projects and cleaning out closets.
Moomaw's closets are still a mess.

@TXNS_fan : Everything is so weird. My schedule is off. I'm up til 4 or 5 and tired all day. Sleep til noon usually. I know they say having a schedule is important but I just am not that person. My parents worried me at first , going out too much. They're in their 70s with a host of underlying conditions. I've tried to get them to do drive ups but they won't listen. They did buy enough stuff for like 2 weeks so they wouldn't have to go out finally.

@ladybeachbum : Thank you. I will get back with you if I must go soon. I'd have to pack shrinkwrap to wrap the bed...lol. He's got 5 more days of radiation, hopefully that will be all. In his state, it'll take him a few months to recover from all that.

@TXNS_fan : I think you have every right to feel that.We all do.

When I start feeling really down I go out for a drive. You can always drive by family and friends houses and just wave and yell from the car.

My son finally made it back to Texas and is in town for a few weeks(hopefully) before going back to Louisiana and may have to come over for something here. He said I could leave in the garage, but I was thinking that would be so hard to do. May have to steal that sheet idea!

@TXNS_fan : I often sit here & pour my heart out about how I think & feel about the situation we are all in . Then by the time I get it all typed I erase it all . I remember how fortunate we both are . And how fortunate our Kids & grand kids are . God has blessed us so .

@MooMaw : If he wasn't coming from Louisiana I'd say just grab him but maybe you need the sheet!
