I guess that's a good PSA, news is trying to find something else to report on except the CV, but they are over doing it a tad, or quite a bit there. I leave my classic cars for mths on end not being started, doesn't hurt them. Ask the reporter there how long it's going to take for rust to start eating away the cast steel brake rotors you have there
. As long as your car isn't sitting in a salt water puddle, I think your brakes will make it. As soon as you do drive it, that surface rust comes off your first red light

A starting every once in a while isn't going to hurt them I guess, but if your battery isn't gone to begin with, I think everybody is going to be OK on their cars through this.
