@TXNS_fan : Unfortunately, some people don't have the luxury of not bringing their children with them. For instance, a single mom with no support system wouldn't be able to go out without her babies. Everyone has a story and unless you know it, don't be too quick to judge. Stress zaps your immune system. So let's not stress over other people' s decisions that we can do nothing about. Just stay home and stay safe as best you can.

The "media" I watch presents the information we need with no agenda.

@texas2011 : The suspense is killing us. What's the name/station?

I've already solved this problem. Close all the stores to the public. Have all employees assigned to curbside service. Make space in the store and bring in refrigerated trucks for order/cart storage. Run the pick-up line like Chick-fil-A.

@Sammee : My DIL and I have talked about this several times, it would protect the workers and be more efficient. Online orders and pickup times. Ones that can't do online are like the Chick-fil-la line and just sit in car and wait for their groceries. It would be better for all.

A few years ago I invested in UV lights for the Air Conditioner. I thought it was kind of over kill. Now I'm thinking that was a pretty good investment. I also, just before this outbreak, purchased several portable air filters that each have UV lights. It kind of felt like a waste of money. I was just buying them to cut down on dust in the house and decided to spend a few extra bucks for the UV version. Got lucky on that one too I guess.

folks need to start seen going outside as a life/death proposition. would you take your young kids shopping if there was a high possibility they'd get sick and die?

@Sammee : Yes, there are a lot of single parents , it seems to me a grocery could develop a deep customer loyalty if they would offer free delivery during this time. lower the risk to everyone including their employees

in fact, the grocers will now be training their customers to order online and ,in the future, be delivered by robot.

Luckysis : The "media" I watch presents the information we need with no agenda. And I watch daily at 5:30pm or use the app because it's my civic responsibility to know what is going on around the world. I don't have cable so I never watch any of the 24 hour news channels. I'm seeing so many people on social media continue to bash the media. Perhaps they need to find a middle ground station that they trust. Not CNN or FOX. It only takes 30 minutes a day.

@texas2011 : I would very much like to know the app / news station you're speaking of! Plz share!

DH goes shopping for us too.

I've been taking a shower and washing my clothes immediately upon coming home from work.

Other than that, reading these practices and others, now I feel like I'm not doing enough.

@walkchalk : I think a lot of people just can't let go of the control of picking their own food. I personally don't care if someone else picks my produce and meat. I have never had them pick inferior food and I've been doing curbside for about a year and a half now.

what about ordering food from a restaurant or fast food? I`m concerned the person in charge might not be as cautious with clean hands or ect....? I`m just kinda scared?

@tsjames : Since you're a new member, I'll try to cut you some slack for your post.
No one said a word against a single parent, but the entire big family does NOT need to be in the grocery store.
I expect the HEB president was being nice by not mentioning these same irresponsible parents allow their kids to run all over the store touching anything they want while bumping into shoppers.
We're all adults here (mostly) and although I can't speak for all of us regulars, I don't like being told what to do by anyone (especially when using a condescending tone).
We don't judge and we don't stress.
Welcome to ADC
