@DaycareMom : Same thing happened to me. A wren kept trying to build a nest in my grill. I kept cleaning it out. Well she finally got the best of me . Got the nest built and egg laid, she won and the grill was out of commission for the duration

I am definitely out of da loop here.
I have one but haven't used it for years. I was actually thinking about getting rid of it.

@Smokeybear : Yep.. after her eggs hatch and the babies move on we are going to remove the legs off the grill and hang the grill part from the porch for more safe haven bird nesting. This is my battle now

Do you not want them any more? What kind of shape are they in. You could give them to someone that grills a lot Emoticon and they could use them as an exchange for a filled one

Other than that you can't recycle them, nor throw them away(legally).

@tflea :

You could probably contact a local propane supplier and they'll most likely buy the tanks from you for a nominal amount...Tanks are like a "core charge" in the automotive parts industry....If you have a tank, you "trade it out" for a filled one and pay only for the gas...If you don't have one, you pay for the tank and the gas....

As for "recycling", I think you can recycle them as scrap metal if certain conditions are met(the tank is drained and it's fill valves are removed, etc)....But not sure...

The people on the street behind me seem to have forgotten we're in a semi lockdown. They were having a yard party, grilling, tables set up with card game going on, cars parked up and down the street. And no! those cars weren't there the last several days that I've been out walking twice a day! Some people are idiots! having a gathering like this is crazy right now.

@MooMaw : I do 99% of the cooking on the stove top[ or oven or slow cooker . I HATE hot weather & avoid being out side during those months . Hubby barbecues. And when he fixes steaks he also fixes chicken & hamburgers so we can put stuff up in the freezer . He doesn't cook it 100% so that when we reheat in the microwave it is hot & it has finished cooking but not dried out & over cooked .

Love to smoke or BBQ meats, poultry and vegetables all the time when not air frying. Going nuts right now, the Virus has shut down all Competition Cook offs until late May as of today. At Comp cooks I have access to a Pitmaker Grillmeister which is an adjustable charcoal or wood burner. A Pitmaker vault that is a very efficient smoker for everything, A Hybrid offset wood burner or can be a pellet grill. My trailer also has an oil fryer and gas burner. So I can cook what ever I need to. Oh well needed the practice in he back yard instead of the trailer.

I mean...Women that I've never met, from all over the place, complimenting my meat...I doubt that I could handle it...Loading Image...

@Astrokatz : How do you like the Vault? I plan on building a big cinder block open pit for grilling. Been debating on getting rid of the big offset in favor of a Vault or a LSG cabinet.
