My family met him at a Red Lobster. He was taking his Mother out to dinner for her birthday at the restaurant of her choosing.

He was the star of early 80s country music and pretty much brought country back to popularity at that time...Had an unforgettable raspy voice and that iconic beard...Will play a few of his hits tonight....RIP...
