Prayers requested. I posted about this last night so I just copied and pasted it now. My 6 month old granddaughter who has a big hole in her heart (awaiting decision on surgery this month) contracted RSV this weekend somewhere. She had to go to the hospital last night by ambulance. They were on the way here with their 18 month old when she started turning blue in the car. After two ambulance rides and two hospitals later she is now home a few hours and doing much better, but my God the scare!! As far as I know, all the Thanksgiving guests were healthy, haven't heard of anyone else being sick.
We are having to wait until Dec 23 to find out about her options for the hole in her heart. It is not a normal size hole, they say it's really big. Please in case you don't already, if you are sick at all and plan to go out in public, consider little ones like this that it can be brought to.
I'm worn out over this and can't even begin to fathom how tired my son and DIL are watching her continuously. So I will try extra hard to get more rest and not be so cranky on here.

@chasinghosts : I've been reading all these types of stories on FB. I'm praying for your baby. I love babies but I'm so afraid to go near them because of a terrible cough I have. So I decline all the cuddles!!!

@chasinghosts : Oh, I am so sorry. RSV is rampant right now. Tell them to not let anyone touch ,hold her or get in her face. My cousins 2 month old had it last week but wasn't in the hospital. Sending up some mighty big prayers for your little grandbaby.

@chasinghosts : Continued Prayers for her and your family. Yes I agree if you are sick stay at home. You never know who you might expose to your sickness. They might not have the immunity to fight it off.

Thank you all. We just need to get over this months hurdle and then hopefully she will be fine. She is a strong child and this hasn't held her back so far. Just keep em coming. You all are a blessing!

Prayers 🙏🏻

My youngest got it at 8 weeks old while we had a a houseful of guests for Thanksgiving weekend. I remember feeling so helpless and just wanting everyone to leave. We ended up at Texas Children's and she was struggling to breathe. They suctioned fluid out of her chest during triage and then she had immediate relief. That's when she turned the corner and started getting better.

It seems like this year is a bad year for it. God bless those little babies.

@+1 : Yes that was key in getting her well. I keep telling them not to take her out until the heart thing is addressed, because it just opens her up to anything.
