chasinghosts : Oh Lord I shouldn't have said I use to ride !!!!! I applaud you chasinghost . You need to think of me & a horse WALKING down the road . If you ever saw me on a horse that was running it was because a car spooked the horse & it ran away with me on it's back till I fell off . I 'm talking about pleasure riding . Me & cousins on the way to another cousins house . I rode calves & pigs & jumped out of the hay loft . Grandparents on 2 sides of my family had farms . Both sides of my family raised chickens & rabbits .
@bbk : Oh no, don't get me wrong, I only did it for 2 years. I rode sheep at my Great Grandpa's ranch, but I was really little. Jumped from the hayloft too, that was fun. Started riding when I was 2 but out of all the years, it was primarily pleasure. Almost got thrown off Mesa Verde Mountain when I was 10, my horse saw a rattler and went nuts on a 4 ft. wide path. It was only a 20 thousand ft. straight sheer drop, so life passed before my eyes literally and I wrapped around his neck till I could calm him down. Haven't been able to do heights since. Got thrown (only time) bad about 20 years ago, messed my back up a bit, so even though I want to, I don't think I'll ride again.
