@West-Tex :
That's my old neighborhood (I lived 3 houses down from the house shown), Lochshire, it's real bad out there. They all got it good with Harvey, most just rebuilt and got back in their homes, very sad. A buddy was just out their helping some of our friends and I just got off the phone with him, it ain't pretty.
Some overhead of my old street below.

The water is backing up in our neighborhood. It seems to be very slow. It's creeping up our yard though. We were fortunate that most of the water had drained out of ours but most of our neighbors still had a ton of water in their yards.

@Sammee : Yea. It was completely off the driveway and just in the ditch or whatever they call it. We have trenches at the end of our yard. It's out of that and pooling across the driveway and coming up into the yard. We are somewhat higher up than a lot of the other houses and our water had mostly receded. We're keeping an eye on it. It's going to be hard to sleep and I have to be at work at 8.

@MrsT : I am so sorry to hear this. Praying it starts receding again. My husband said the road flooding at 2100 and 1960 was also higher this afternoon than it was this morning. Too much to drain.

@Sammee : There's a bayou behind the neighborhood somewhere. It's come up a little more but as long as it stays at that rate and subsides today hopefully it won't reach the house. We have a ways to go. Just feel bad for all those other people. There's no way some of them aren't taking on water again. I took this pic of a yard on the street over when I got home about 7 last night. It wouldn't take much to push it back in. The other is my driveway right now. It was just connecting across the driveway when I went to bed about 1. It was completely confined to the ditch yesterday.

@MrsT : no we did not flood. When the rain came thursday, i had water up to the foundation of the house, and a couple of inches in the garage.

@tommie : We had water right up under our side door Thursday. I started freaking out and throwing stuff on the beds. Then all of a sudden it started to recede even though it was still pouring. It's creeping up our driveway very slowly since about 12 last night. But we sit pretty far back from the street.
