@bbk : Yes, you are correct. I worked in a school with 18 and 19 year olds and definitely knew they were not ready for adulthood, lol.

@bbk : Yes, I taught in the alternative school in Liberty (and a counselor also) mind wise you are not an adult until you are 25/26. State/federal law says 18 is an adult(so confusing to many) Many of the kids I taught were no where near adults but knew consequences for actions. We were all young and dumb once!

@carol888 : You've said it perfectly . We use to always say if we can keep them alive & out of Jail till about 21 then they'll do ok & be ok because they'll have some sense by then hopefully .

That is the very definition of "trash" when speaking of lowlife thieves. Why defend them just because they are young?
Typically, the younger they start breaking the law, the worse their crime becomes.

I'm good with you feeling the way you do, but it's also okay for me not to agree with your position and vice versa.
