Body Found Near School In Atascocita

Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide investigators have responded to an unknown medical emergency call that was referred to them from the Harris County Precinct 4 Constables Office.

Precinct 4 deputies, along with Humble ISD Police, responded around 6:10 am this morning (Thursday, 3/9/17) to Oaks Elementary School at 5858 Upper Lake Dr In Atascocita. When they arrived, the body of a male was located near the fence line in the back part of the school grounds.

Investigators indicate that it was a suicide and no foul play was a factor.

The Humble ISD Police cancelled classes at Oaks Elementary for the day.

My heart is sadden for a life lost. Our family knew this young boy; My son was close friends with Him. He'd been over our house to hang out and sleep-overs. He gave no indication he was ever troubled. My prayers for the family....and Has there been any updates on funeral arrangements?

Wished we knew more.... my son knew him from Creekwood MS and first year of high school @ KHS. When his friend transferred to Atascocita HS, they didn't see much of each other anymore. I'm hoping if anyone knows any information please send me a personal message. Thank you.
