@macdaddy

It had a MOSASAUR!!! A MOSASAUR!! It was the big marine predator in the tank.

Did you know that mosasaur bones and teeth can be found in North Texas? On the surface of the ground? No digging required? Roughly 75 million years old?How cool is that??! I am awaiting confirmation of a vertebra that I found. Fingers crossed that it's from a juvenile mosasaur! I'll be doing my paleontological happy dance!!!

@cbp210

The enthusiasm of kids is contagious, so it's definitely more fun seeing it with a kiddo.

We saw it opening day when we were on vacation in Arizona, we all really liked it. Chris Pratt is fun to watch. The MosaSaur was really cool....(that first scene showing her jump out of the water was a big jab at SeaWorld).

My most favorite scene though was Jimmy Buffett's cameo (he was the guy trying to save his Margaritas while running away from the flying things (sorry, I am not up to date on the names of all the different dinosaurs).

@Littlegoo

DH and I had a good laugh at Margarita Guy, but I didn't even recognize him. How funny!

I didn't realize it was him either at first, but then I read in an article that Buffett is friends with the director. Totally makes sense, I mean, they had a "Margaritaville" inside of the park. I'll watch it again when it comes out on DVD and make sure to give that scene a good look.
Subtle little funny things like that made that movie extra fun.
