That poor child. What complete **** to make fun of him. God help my children if they ever made fun of someone with a disability.
$110,000 already raised for him to go to Disneyland.

@nikkiole : see, I would go the opposite route and make them volunteer somewhere serving people with similar issues to make them aware of just how cruel they were.

BusyMommy : I'm not big on corporal punishment, but that would probably be one instance I would do it, if I knew my children were making fun of someone with a disability. Unacceptable on so many levels

@nikkiole : This totally broke my heart. This was so unbelieveably hard to watch. I worked in Special Ed classes for 15 years. Most kids are very kind but there are always a few. They had to be rewired a bit to get that it wasn't ok and they would be looked at differently themselves if they were mean. Easiest way to cure it is to have them volunteer with disabled students. It really works and teaches them compassion if not empathy. Dwarfism runs in my DIL's family and sometimes the looks they get and the ignorant comments are just unbelieveable. She and her brother have so many health issues and you can't even imagine what we went through when our grandbabies were in her womb. We lost our grandson to it on Mother's Day 2016. So yes, I am always going to stick up for the disabled or for anyone who can't stick up for themselves and God help the person that thinks it makes a funny joke .

Ahh hurts my heart. School is rough kids can be really mean without realizing it and the pressure to fit in is so huge. I just hope to love my little ones and teach them right and wrong and hope to be super involved so that I am aware of whats happening.

@nikkiole : some of the best lessons I learned and remembered involve an **** kicking and/or pain. People these days underestimate the power of pain, it is a hell of a teacher.

@LuGar : I was at the school almost as much as my son. I still see kids around town and they come and hug me. Luckily, I could drive those field trips or go on the bus. Just be a presence in their lives and they will turn out great.
