Budget Office - 18 mil could lose insurance

So far it doesn't look good at all.

So it's complicated because we don't have a plan , but coverage without mandate would be very bad.. Findings of study by budget office are consistent with ins industry and Obama admin. Here is article. It's worth a read.

Obama's mandated coverage is already really bad! Most people will have coverage given the choice and affordable rate (which Obama failed to do), but we should not have to pay a fine if Obama doesn't like our plan. Give us back our freedom to choose.

Losing insurance =/= denial of healthcare.

Additionally, the CBO scoring is incomplete......

So here's the proposal being worked on.

"Committees in the House and Senate are set to begin writing legislation that will roll back major elements of the law, including penalties for those who don’t get insurance and credits that help people buy insurance on the private market."

No subsidies, no penalties.

Here is what Price, Trumps point guy has proposed last year.

"Price is among the only lawmakers to have crafted an alternative to the Affordable Care Act. The former House Budget Committee chairman proposed making deep cuts to Medicaid and creating a voucher-like system for older Americans who use Medicare as their primary insurance. His plan would also end subsidies for people to buy private insurance, in favor of tax breaks to encourage investments in private health savings accounts."

Good there shouldn't be subsidies to go towards premiums bit there should be HSA account to pay for medical care tax free.
I would rather see tax money spent on community clinics than going to make insurance companies money.

Who do you think is going to make the money?
Tax credits aren't free in the budget. How much tax credit. I see a boatload of private insurance co. making tons of money.

including penalties taxes for those who don’t get insurance and credits that help people buy insurance on the private market."

Fixed it for accuracy......according to SCOTUS.
And, thus, only requires 51 votes in the Senate.........

@atascabob Hello! The money in a HSA pays medical BILLS, not premiums. Do you even understand how things work?

How is losing coverage not tantamount to being denied for those have pre-existing conditions? I think you can't just let people die right? Or do we?

How is that an insurance issue? You do n't lose insurance coverage after the fact.......receiving coverage after the fact is not insurance......that's a subsidy.......

My solution.......expand Medicaid......without strings attached from The Federal Guv on taxes returned to the States.

Pre-existing conditions are the ultimate red herring.......can you get homeowners insurance after your cabin burns down?.........or your Prius totaled?

And lastly, everyone in this country were treated for illness prior to Obamacare........the costs to us all were nuanced, granted...........but they were obviously less when we weren't "taxed" ........

Remember "universal Access"- Like we all have universal access to Lamborghini's.

But Trump promised coverage for all, lower cost, better, beautiful coverage. Hello, does he know how this works. Sounds a lot like privatization of medicare, higher premiums for all and a whole bunch of people back to having no insurance.

@atascabob
We will see if he screws things up more than obama. Time will tell. Obama promised to save me $2500 a year. Instead he would have cost me $15000 more.
Let's see what trump can do.

We've seen the report get ready for higher rates and privatization, if you are are one of those that doesn't lose coverage all together.

I really did want better, less expensive, great, beautiful coverage and not more expensive, not so great, ugly coverage.
