For Advanced ADC nerds who care:
Your score doesn't mean anything tangible, but is based off of the "Eddington number" or "h-index" (call it the "A-index"), which means, in this case: "a score of x means a member has received x or more positive reactions/replies, to x or more of their forum posts recently."
Your A-index is then run through another filter that adjusts your score an additional 20-50%, to achieve your final score.
The result is a score is hard to manipulate, and going from a score of 10 to 15, is much much harder than going from 0 to 5.
The down side is that it can be hard for members to visualize the cause-and-effect relationship between your posts and your score. It's also subject to cycles...if something ADC'ers appreciated a while ago falls outside of the scoring timeline, your score will go way down, and not because you've done anything wrong recently.

BOTTOM LINE:
Does the score matter? Nah...
A low score is normal, even for really great ADC posters, and will fluctuate frequently.
But if you see you have a high score, you can be pretty certain that your posts on ADC have received broad and deep appreciation among other ADC'ers over the past couple of weeks.
